My daughter has taken an interest in Soccer
(she is six) due to the World Cup South Africa 2010. I've watched several of
the games. The fire has come back. I can't believe I walked away from soccer
15 years ago. The last 3 teams I played Soccer on were: Sebastopol United
"A" Select under coach Jack Grant. Gravenstein Union School District
Sebastopol Youth Soccer League 19 & under division "A", under Coach Gile.
TEAM USA District V Olympic Developmental team under Coach Rich Colorado.
The day the USA lost to Ghana we were visiting with grandpa (my father) and
he pulled out this box he had in the attic.... My boots, shin guards and the
paper work for the last European Tournament my team was playing in, in
hand.... I had goose bumps.... He had no idea the World Cup was on, and I
was on fire to play....I'm too old for Team USA... I'm ready to play or
coach.... Preferably play.... |

I can play anywhere across the midfield
(prefer the attacking side, given the formation); I'm comfortable up front
too, but I'm not really the aerial threat or a target man at 5'9", speed is
my main attribute. I have junior college experience (even filled in at right
back for a bit) and use to play in a few men's leagues (LNFA -11x11 and
South County Futsal - 7x7) in Southern California, but i haven't played
competitively in about a year.
I'm looking for a team that wants to play, people that want to show up and
work hard, and have some fun along the way. |
