Minutes of Meeting—Dec 3d 2006 Call to Order President Antonio Rosales called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. at Round Table Pizza on Marlow Road. Teams Present Present: Black Oaks, Bushwhackers, Forestville United, Maximum Force, Shockers, Sonoma United Approval of Minutes The July minutes were reviewed and approved. Reports of Officers and Committees Antonio Rosales, President: Some questions for 2007: Do we want to rent artificial turf fields for the first 4 weeks of the season to avoid the cancellations we suffered last year given all the rain? Antonio to check on Montgomery and Piner field availability. Someone suggested that some of the Windsor fields may not close down for rain (Keiser, Hiriam Lewis, Wilson Ranch). Mentioned that Karin Dowling of the women’s league would again like to rotate field marking duties, as we did last year. Brian Aicega, Vice-President: Wonders if it might be worth trying to consolidate our insurance with that of women’s league for a discount. Antonio will look into it. Sue Zaharoff, Treasurer: League account has about $1200 left over from last year. Luis Medina, Webmaster: Willing to maintain site this year. Old Business No old business. New Business Cost of Lucchessi is $75/hr. Four games per Saturday, four Saturdays, two hours per game = $2400. We spent about $1200 on artificial fields last year. So, if there are 14 teams in the league, the extra $1200 split 14 ways will be about $100/team. The proposed fee for 2007 is $850/team. That’s an increase of $150 from last year. This is to cover the increased costs of field rentals. Also, we cut it a bit close last year and want to build up the account a bit more. Proposed schedule: The league will begin March 17th. May 5th is reserved for the Investor’s Trust tournament. No games on May 26th (Memorial Day weekend). June 16th last scheduled game of season. June 23d reserved for make-up games. June 30th Kick Around. This schedule will be voted on next meeting. Sue Zaharoff has reserved the room for the whole year at Round Table. Meetings are always the first Sunday of each month (unless there’s a holiday, then the second Sunday). We need to spend about $50/meeting on food and beverages. At the next meeting, Registrar will pass out paperwork needed to register players. Officers will be elected. Volunteers needed! Meeting Adjourned at 7:22 p.m. Next scheduled meeting: Sunday Jan 7th at the Round Table Pizza on Marlow (at Guerneville Road, in the Safeway shopping center) at 6:30 p.m. Submitted by Sarah Martin 14 Dec 2006
